Cheap Text Links
Say you have a $1,000 dollars per month to spend on your text link advertising campaign. What is the best way to spend it?:
I often get this question, and while there may be no one right answer, everyone has an opinion - here is mine:
Assuming your site is fairly new and you are just trying to get some exposure, you should try to buy as many varied text link advertisements relevant to your website's topic as possible. I this case, I don't believe spending all your money on a PR 9 will help you as much as a bunch of text link advertising of lower ranked PR 5 and PR 6 websites.
Look to get 8 to10 links and keep them on a monthly basis. Get a few LinkAds linked deep inside your site. With a brand new site, don't worry so much about PR, look more to the relevancy of the link as compared to your website. Find bargains by shopping during "off-peak" hours in the auctions. Also, keep and eye out for "Package Deals" that many text link advertisement sellers are now offering. A large amount of relevant website links from different IPs will not only bring you profitable clicks, they will improve your page popularity for your preferred keywords.
As your site grows and budget and profits increase, then it may be time to step up and buy some higher profile text link advertising, but continue to keep the links as relevant as possible. I am sure you heard it before, it's not all about PR, so don't blow your budget on one jumbo link, learn to spread your advertising dollars.
